The course has a nice layout. The greens were in very poor condition when I played with the exception of about 5-6 holes.

Berkleigh used to be a private country club, but went defunct and was recently re-opened as a public course. It used to be an LPGA tour stop (The Betsy King Classic), and was in pristine condition. It will take some time to get back to the former condition and I think the new owners will work for that.

The current owners have done a good job updating the course and restoring a very challenging - but fair - track. After experimenting two years ago, I have turned this into my favorite place to play in the area. Very good payout that is kept in very good condition. Greens are very good to. Occasionally, the pace of play is too slow as people tend to tee off from the wrong tees slowing down everyone.
